Life is too short to spend two hours at the gym every day! Life is also too short to not enjoy every second of. That's where I come in - being healthy and fit is a necessary part to get the most out of your days everyday. I'm a real person with real weakness but also real goals. I love feeling strong and capable. I love exploring, learning new things, pushing boundaries, and testing limits. I love learning new things which is why I'm working towards getting my doctorate in Physical Therapy. What you won't get from me are half naked body posts on Instagram, lies, or fake before and afters. I'm also about being a real person. As a previous Elementary teacher I can guarantee you will get it support, lessons about your body and moving efficiently, and sometimes tough love when you just aren't feeling it. Why did you become a personal trainer?

I became a personal trainer because I firmly believe in the connection between mind and body. The healthier you are = the better you feel = the more efficient and successful you will operate. I see so many people not prioritize wellness for various reasons and their bodies start to crumble. I’m here to teach and guide people to understand that it is possible to be fit, strong, and healthy without spending hours at the gym or using a ton of "fancy/hard" equipment. All I need is your body (some playground equipment) and your positive attitude.

What are your favorite things about being a personal trainer?

I love seeing people realize that working out is hard work but can be fun and doesn’t have to be the same boring routine every day. I also love seeing people achieve results and get stronger! My ultimate favorite thing is seeing women embrace weights. There is nothing better than seeing someone who wanted to be skinny fall in love with being strong and now seek that out. (No - you won’t look “manly”.)

If you could train one celebrity, who would it be and why?

This is so hard (I'm such a pop-culture junkie - specifically comedians). However, I think I have to go with Amy Poehler. Not only do I think we would be best friends, but I think we would have a lot of fun. She also has a go-getter personality and a positive attitude. That alone means we would achieve amazing results.

If you had one workout style to describe yourself, what would it be?

High Intensity Intervals. I didn’t make it up-but I perfected and I will perfect it specifically for you, your goals, and your body type.

In your mind, what is the single biggest benefit for someone to hire a personal trainer?

One-on-one attention. As someone who is also in school for Physical Therapy, form, efficiency, and muscle tension is SO IMPORTANT. Look around at the gym, many people are doing more harm to their bodies than good. Hire a personal trainer - especially one that has a main of goal of guiding and teaching you about your body and how we are achieving goals (cough cough - me).

What are your hobbies?

I love adventuring (skiing, hiking, cycling, camping, traveling), reading, and eating. 

Any guilty pleasures?

Gluten Free Pistachio donuts from Stans (and Rom-Coms).
